One of the issues I have struggled with during my venture into Internet Marketing is writing. A lot of Internet Marketing involves writing - creating information products, article marketing, blog posts, auto-responder text, etc. And I have had a major case of writer’s block for several years now. As a child, I loved to write. I used to write short stories and poetry. I even started a novel in 6th grade, and wrote the first 6 chapters! But sometime during high school and college, the joy of writing seemed to leave me - I think because I had to write in a very dry way about boring topics. So, here I am, venturing into a new (hope-to-be) career that involves tons of writing. Ugh!
So, I have been looking for resources to help me with this. I have recently purchased a few eBooks that I hope to help me. Once I work my way through, I will post a review for each of them. The guide I am working through right now is pretty good so far. It is written by Jimmy D. Brown, titled "31 Day Guide to Article Marketing." In this guide, Jimmy teaches you how to write articles for your online business, including how to write your byline, or resource box (particularly a good call to action). I am only on Day 3 so far, but I wanted to let people know about it because it is part of Jimmy D. Brown’s List & Traffic membership site, and Part 1 is only available until August 30, 2009. Part 2 is September’s offering. The List & Traffic membership is only $10 per month, and offers a new comprehensive how-to guide each month. If writing articles has you stumped, try out this membership for at least the next 2 months (to get both parts of the guide), and see what it can do for you. Of course, the guide is only useful if you are willing to put what you learn to work, but if you are willing to do the work, and are having the same struggles as I am, I think this could help move you forward.
I will be adding links to my articles once I get them written and out on the web, so you can watch my progress. Feel free to leave feedback and questions below.

Writing is very hard for a lot of people mainly because most find it intimidating. Once you start and keep practicing, like anything else you get better with time.
Hi Lisa,
Sounds like me - I wrote a lot when I was young and did a whole novel when I was 16 but when I came to IM found it hard.
Having practiced a lot and done a few thousand forum posts I’m now finding it much easier.
So I think as Robin said just keep going,
Thanks
Keith
I am right there with you on the “like to write” scale. I can do it but it takes me way too long. I want to learn the secrets of those people who can whip out 5 to 8 articles per day. I dare say there are very few of them.
I really like Jimmy Brown so I may try the writing class with him.

Yes, I am hoping to get to that state - writing multiple articles a day. I think once you get the process down, it gets easier. At least that’s what I am hoping for!
